In 2016, Microsoft acquired Beam and wanted a new visual identity that is able to stand alone and family well with their parent brand as well as the Xbox product brands. Beam, which is now called Mixer,
is a game streaming service that allows viewers to interact with games in real-time. To help differentiate Mixer from it’s competitors, we created a unique and simple visual identity system symbolizing a next generation gaming experience that deepens the connections of viewers and streamers.
